ACCESS CONTROL ENGINEER
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Our client has been providing buildings support to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts and private sector clients for over 45 years. They have a proven track record of delivering successful mechanical, electrical and security services and solutions to commercial and domestic clients.
JOB PURPOSE:
You will be responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of systems such as Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Warden Call, Communal Aerials, and CCTV. Work must comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Service and install a variety of security and communication systems including:
Door Entry
Warden Call
Automatic Door/Gate Systems
CCTV Systems (including IP/Networked)
Intruder Alarms
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance on the above systems
Ensure all work, including testing, inspections, and compliance checks, is completed to current British Standards
Provide daily updates to your supervisor/manager on progress and any issues relating to timescales or resources
Carry out other related duties as reasonably requested
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE :
Background in social housing or local authority maintenance
Valid CSCS card
Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers is desirable (training provided): ISM, GDX, ENTROTEC, SML, PAC, KMS, RECORD, GEZE, GALAXY, TEXECOM
Strong communication and analytical skills
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence required
SALARY/ BENEFITS:
Up to £42,000 per year Doe
21 days holiday (increasing to 25 days with service), plus statutory holidays
