OverviewThe company are engaged in electric aircraft engine component production. We are looking for a key person to bridge the gap between manufacturing practices and aerospace requirements, ensuring electric motor hardware are delivered on time, in full, to aerospace quality.The role includes the following - you will have experience of a large number of these and knowledge of others :ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain a supplier plan and integrated schedule with clear milestones, gates and critical pathRun weekly reviews with actions, owners and dates. Expedite parts, tooling and test slots.Aerospace quality upliftPlan, compile and gain approval of First Article Inspection (FAI) packs. Ensure full traceability, serialisation and Certificates of Conformance.Ensure calibrated measurement systems, key characteristic control and special process qualification.Configuration and change controlEnforce baseline control for drawings, Bills of Materials, software and firmware. Support or chair Change Control Boards and ensure change impact assessments and deviations are approved before build.Nonconformance and risk managementManufacturing and test readinessPrepare and witness build and test activities as needed. Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 tests for EMI, vibration and environment is a plus.Stakeholder management and reportingAct as a single point of contact on site. Provide concise weekly status reports and KPIs to leadership.Coach teams on aerospace expectations and ensure alignment across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain.Candidate ProfileDegree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).Aerospace supplier development, project engineeringWorking knowledge of AS9100/AS9145, EN9102 FAI, EASA Part 21 production conceptsTools: MS Project or similar, Jira/Confluence, MRP/ERP, basic CAD viewer, statistical tools.Soft skills: assertive but collaborative, able to influence without authority, clear communicator, disciplined in reporting and action trackingExtra DetailsNeed to be on-site in Norfolk 2/3 days a week.
