*What you will be doing *
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Graduate Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
* You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer. You will gain experience of all the spacecraft subsystems and will get a detailed overview of the Satellite Assembly Integration and Test department.
* Examples of the ESA missions we have built, tested and launched the flight spacecraft for are Solar Orbiter and the Exo Mars Rover. Another example of a project we are working on is to provide secure space communications for the UK Government.
* The tasks will be varied and require you to use different skills (electrical measurements, script writing and debugging, anomaly investigation, documenting test results, preparing presentations, communication etc.). As well as scripting, we use Java and C based languages.
* As a Graduate, you will learn about spacecraft subsystem integration, functional and system testing, anomaly investigations, and initial test result analysis; as well as environmental testing and supporting spacecraft interface checks at the launch site. There will be opportunities to develop both electrical engineering and software skills within Satellite Assembly Integration and Test (AIT). Our organisation supports environmental test campaigns and spacecraft launches, which involve overseas travel.
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Graduate Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer !
*What we are looking for*
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:
* A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
* Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Electronics, Electrical Systems, Avionics, Space or similar Engineering degree.
* Good knowledge of programming and scripting in a variety of languages (C, Java, bash scripting etc.)
* Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
* A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
* The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
