The programme includes a development journey, a dedicated weekly development week with peers and leaders, and opportunities to gain deep understanding of Airbus and its business.What you will be doingYou will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Modelling and Simulation Graduate Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:Development and/or enhancement of airframe capability to support current and future aircraft programs in all phases of their lifecycle. This includes modelling and simulation methods through scientific computing, code writing, and incorporating new research and technology into design processes.Collaborate with architects and business owners to determine requirements for methods development and plan and execute steps to deliver results, using existing tools or developing them as needed.Utilise a combination of off-the-shelf and in-house tools, adapting them to meet customer needs; learn about industrial aircraft development processes, tool usage across design stages, and fundamentals of airframe structural design, analysis, and optimisation.Learn how design, stress, and optimisation are performed using commercial and bespoke methods, and gain a deep understanding of their fundamental makeup to apply in early and late design cycles.Expected placements may include the Wing Structures team, the Architects team, Research and Technology, and Digital Platforms, with a preference for placements to start and end within Advanced Capabilities while gaining exposure to customer and R&D perspectives, near-term program needs, and long-term strategy.Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support growth into the Modelling and Simulation Engineer role.
