Xoserve maintains accountability for the delivery of the Data Services Contract for the industry, which is delivered by a key outsourced service provider.

We are seeking a talented and motivatedAI & Automation Engineerto help shape and deliver our AI and automation initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical skills in machine learning and automation, who is eager to grow into a strategic contributor as our AI capabilities expand.

Role Accountabilities

AI & Automation Development

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models and automation solutions.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to carry out pattern-based data mining.
• Collaborate with the TOGAF enterprise architecture team to integrate AI into products and services.
• Support the introduction of AI for testing.
• Generate ideas for application of AI/ML to realise evidencable benefits for Xoserve and its customers.
• Contribute to AI strategy as part of the wider Xoserve data strategy and digitalisation plan.
• Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML advancements and tools, and relevant industry developments that they could apply to.
• Advocate the benefits of AI to all stakeholders, being mindful of varying levels of maturity relating to AI.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Navigate a complex internal, customer, stakeholder and third-party environment with sensitivity.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure AI solutions are developed responsibly and in line with relevant legislation and ethical standards.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of data pipelines (ETL), APIs, and automation tools.
• Awareness of AI governance and ethical frameworks.
• Proficiency with scripting or data languages (e.g., Python, R, Ruby, Java, Jupyter, SQL, ABAP).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. GitHub).
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
