About Us: We’re looking for a pragmatic and user-focused AI Product Engineer to help us build intelligent, reliable, and privacy-conscious AI features into Log my Care. You’ll work directly with our CTO to explore the most promising use cases for large language models (LLMs) and other emerging AI technologies, rapidly prototype ideas, and deliver tools that reduce admin burden, support care teams, and improve the quality of care. This is a foundational role with significant autonomy, setting the direction, proving what\'s possible, and laying the groundwork for a new AI capability at Log my Care.
This role is a great fit for someone who balances technical depth with real-world impact and wants to grow in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
Role
As An AI Product Engineer, You Will
- Work autonomously: Deliver complex features & projects with minimal oversight
- Architect for scale: Design significant features and services for scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Embody user centricity: Understand real-world user workflows and advocate for user needs in collaboration with Product and Design
- Champion a quality mind-set: Own code quality end-to-end, including testing and secure, reliable code
- Solve challenging problems: Identify root causes, implement durable solutions, and share learnings
- Be data-driven: Use data to guide decisions and improve product or business metrics
- Own operational rollout: Ship features to production and ensure reliability
- Drive continuous improvement: Promote experimentation, share knowledge, and mentor teammates
Salary: £55-70K
Location: London. In-office days are Wednesdays & Fridays.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong full-stack fundamentals (Node, TypeScript, React) with 3+ years of engineering experience
- Proven track record shipping AI/LLM-powered features to production
- Deep experience with GenAI tooling (OpenAI, Claude, Bedrock) and vector databases
- Experience mitigating risks in LLM applications (hallucinations, prompt injection, data privacy)
- Ability to evaluate and optimize model performance and assess user impact with data
- Experience building reliable systems with fallbacks, guardrails, confidence scoring, or content moderation
- Thrive in a user-impactful, continuously learning environment
Bonus points for:
- Experience in regulated environments like health or social care
- Background in Scale-Ups, SaaS or B2B product development
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in product-led squads collaborating with PMs and designers
Interview Process

- In-person technical task
- Interview via Zoom (1 hour)
- Final interview with the Co-founder & CEO to discuss your fit and values (about 20 minutes)
