What's the role
As the AI Engineer, you will deliver end-to-end GenAI solutions in a production scale environment. You will collaborate with Data Science and ML team to deploy reliable, distributed, real-time models to production, using existing and emerging methods and technologies that could be effectively applied to Shell use cases. Develops and refines inputs (prompts) for AI systems to optimize the accuracy and usefulness of the AI's responses.
What you'll be doing
- Propose, design, build and deploy AI/ML solutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration to AI applications using microservices and event driven system-based practices
- Build ML pipelines using MLOps standards for automated model deployment, model performance monitoring, data drift detection in market standard platforms like Azure Machine Learning, AWS Sagemaker or Databricks
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, data engineering and DevOps teams to increase our deployment velocity, including the process for deploying models and data pipelines into production
- Designing high quality prompts to generate the desired output from GenAI systems
What you bring
- Holds bachelor's or master's degree in any of the following: Engineering, statistics, machine learning, or relevant areas
- Deep knowledge of various prompting techniques and experience in Prompt development and refinement. Testing of prompt accuracy and efficiency
- Experience in developing data APIs, microservices and event driven systems to integrate ML systems
- Experience using Machine Learning (MLOps) principles and standards such as automated model deployment, model performance monitoring, data drift detection etc.
- Development competency across a breadth of languages, frameworks, and tooling, such as Python, CoPilot, Azure
- Good understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other generative AI frameworks for inference in production.
- Experience in extracting, cleansing, and manipulating large, diverse structured and unstructured data
- Knowledge in applying ML algorithms, Optimization, and technologies to time series forecasting
- Knowledge in Bash\Powershell Scripting and Linux Operating system and networking fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills, especially explaining technical concepts to businesspeople & to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong desire to stay ahead of industry trends & technologies with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience working in small, empowered, delivery focused, cross-functional and collaborating teams
- Experience of working in a virtual team and with virtual stakeholders
