Air Conditioning Engineer

Our client are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will play a key role in ensuring that clients receive a high-quality service with systems running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair air conditioning systems, including split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and packaged systems.
*
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance calls.
*
Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to restore system performance.
*
Complete F-Gas leak testing, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging as required.
*
Ensure all works comply with current health and safety regulations and F-Gas legislation.
*
Provide clear service reports and communicate effectively with customers on work carried out.
*
Assist with project planning and support wider engineering teams where required.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
*
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
*
F-Gas 2079 Category 1 certification (essential).
*
Proven experience in air conditioning installation, servicing, and fault-finding.
*
Strong knowledge of electrical systems relevant to A/C units.
*
Good problem-solving skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
*
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
*
Experience with VRV/VRF systems and larger-scale commercial installations.
*
Knowledge of ventilation and heating systems (HVAC).
*
IPAF or PASMA certification.
*
CSCS/ECS card
