Analytics Engineer at Aios Medical — Remote, $90-120k/year inc equity

About Aios Medical

Our overarching mission is to accelerate the mass-market adoption of consumer biotech products so every human can live at least 100 healthy years. Our immediate focus is excess bodyweight. We are increasing the accessibility of GLP-1 medications to accelerate their take-up to help solve obesity worldwide.

To do that, we’re building an AI-powered clinical operating system: ClinicOS. ClinicOS makes it effortless for consumer brands to easily offer direct-to-patient healthcare, globally. We work with external Brand Partners, as well as using this infrastructure to scale our own internal consumer healthcare brands.

Since we launched Fella Health in the US in June 2021, Fella has positioned itself as no-nonsense weight loss for busy bigger guys. Today, we operate multiple brands across the US & UK — our two biggest are Fella Health (US & UK) & Bolt Pharmacy (UK).

Our infrastructure will have served 100 million patients worldwide by 2035. We’ll then use that direct-to-patient infrastructure to serve next-gen biotech products at-scale to increase the proportion of humans living at least 100 healthy years. In so doing, we’ll become the world’s first trillion dollar healthcare company.

Investment and growth context: We’ve grown >2000x since Aug 2021, >200x since Aug 2022, >20x since Aug 2023. We’re >$50M/yr revenue, cashflow positive since June 2023, with >10,000 customers and high NPS. We’re a young startup and we’re just getting started; this is Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us. Backed by Y Combinator, Global Founders Capital, AngelList Early Stage Fund, BrandProject, and founders of major companies.

Role Overview

Being an Analytics Engineer at Aios Medical entails taking ownership of the data stack, building reliable pipelines, making data accessible across teams, and laying the groundwork for a centralized data team. You’ll start within the engineering team, rebuilding pipelines, creating ETL jobs that sync sources to the data warehouse, setting up dbt transformations, and ensuring smooth operations. You’ll influence tooling, sync frequency, and error handling, and help define metrics that matter across the customer journey.

This is a full-time, fully remote role. You’ll work asynchronously in the time zone of your choice, with availability for calls around midday Pacific Time as needed. You’ll report to Gzim (Head of Engineering) and collaborate with Ben (Head of Product) and Dave (Head of Growth).

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Stable ETL: Own data flow from 20+ sources into Redshift, reduce manual checks, fix failure points, and ensure day-to-day reliability.
  • Engineering Heavy: Focus on data engineering fundamentals—warehouse architecture, dbt transformations, pipeline tooling, and decisions that keep data flowing reliably.
  • Analytics: Support Growth (CAC, CPL, funnel metrics) and Product/Ops (time to medication, delivery times); stitch data to be clean and trusted.
  • Solo Operator: A senior role; you’ll define what matters and build backend logic to track it.
  • Strategic Partner: Become a key data decision-maker across the organization to balance reliability, speed, and clarity.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in data roles with at least 3+ years in data engineering; ownership of pipelines, warehouses, and reporting in fast-moving environments.
  • Data Engineering: Built/maintained pipelines syncing from multiple sources into a central warehouse (e.g., Redshift); knowledge of syncing logic and error handling.
  • Data Models and Querying: Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, handle large datasets, and build reusable data models; comfortable with ad-hoc analysis and production transformations.
  • Metric Clarity: Ability to translate business questions (e.g., CAC, time to medication) into data requirements and end-to-end tracking.
  • Ownership: Proactive in defining what to build and how to track it (pre- and post-conversion journeys).
  • Autonomy: Experience as a solo operator or early hire, prioritizing and removing blockers independently.
  • Team Builder: Experience leading or growing a data team as the function scales.

Nice to Have

  • Growth Metrics: Experience with CAC, CPL, funnel metrics, and collaborating with growth teams.
  • Clinical/Product Metrics: Operational healthcare metrics (e.g., fulfillment speed, delivery time).
  • Analytics Tools: Proficiency with tools like Metabase or similar for data exploration and reporting.
  • RudderStack: Experience with customer data platforms and event tracking.
  • Problem-Solver Mindset: Ability to diagnose and fix issues beyond surface-level causes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: $90-120k/year inc equity
  • Healthcare: comprehensive medical insurance (where applicable)
  • Vacation: PTO with a yearly minimum (≥2 weeks/yr + holidays)
  • Remote: fully distributed team, remote work
  • Personal development: budget for books, courses, coaching ($1200/yr)
  • Personal wellness: budget for gym and health apps ($1200/yr)
  • Coaching: free biweekly health coaching
  • Equipment: MacBook and work-from-home setup provided as needed
  • Culture: opportunity to shape our evolving culture
