Role and Environment

This Application Support role sits within the Front Office team, working directly with applications and traders in the FX settlement and Payments sector. The client seeks a strong team lead from a technical background who can script and automate using PowerShell, Python, Java or Bash, and query with SQL. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, highly integrated, social working environment and lead the team on a Greenfield project. Experience in a Linux environment and familiarity with BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT and SEPA are required.

Role: Application Support Analyst

Working Model: Hybrid (3 days in office) plus well-paid on-call rates when required

Tech Stack: SQL, Swift, Scripting language, Linux

Key Skills

• Strong PowerShell skills (primary focus for the role)
• Background in financial services; Payments experience is key
• Daily use of SQL—confident in querying and scripting
• Excellent communication skills, ability to manage tickets and liaise with traders to resolve issues
• Compliance and reporting
• Experience with Swift releases, Chaps/backs scheme updates
• Knowledge of API onboarding, FIX messaging, and market protocols
• Previous exposure to Payment Applications
