We are recruiting for a motivated team member to join our IT team as an
Applications Engineer
based in our offices in Leeds.
Reporting to the Head of IT, the
Applications Engineer
will
be an integral part of the Application team supporting 2nd and 3rd line internal support requests and ensuring the smooth running of a variety of applications. Candidates MUST HAVE D365 F&O experience as the group is about to upgrade its main trading company to D365 and you will be central to this project. You will also work with the IT Team on Projects.

Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Compressed Hours)
Key Duties:
Deal with 2 nd -3 rd
Line application support (including AX/PTS/PPMS/D365/BI) enquiries with a focus on supporting the hybrid Microsoft ERP environment and production systems.
Work on Projects predominantly for Applications, this will involve collaborating as part of the team to deliver projects and manage and deliver some projects yourself.
Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to maintain a high level of service.
Give advice and guidance to key stakeholders and the application teams relating to technical difficulties.
Maintain the integrations and transfer of data across multiple systems.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop business process and system improvements in line with the company strategy.
Support the continuous deployment and enhancement of the companies Microsoft estate.
Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve system performance.
Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the adoption of new system and processes.
Oversee and assist with the stocktakes across our business (out of hours work will be required)
Assist the applications team with prioritising work so it is in line with business requirements.
As a senior member of IT you will need to assist/support others and help with training and development.
Working closely with finance to facilitate and assist the business with its IT needs and assist with the IT budget.
Work closely with 3 rd
Party companies to ensure to smooth running of our production environment.
Make sure our applications are secure and up to date to ensure they are robust to achieve maximum uptime.
Key Skills & Experience:
To be user focused and priorities delivering a clear supportive service. You will have a proactive, curious mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and good at working/overseeing projects.
D365 (Finance & Operations) Experience Essential
Experience working with a hybrid, cloud and on prem environment.
Microsoft Certification.
Working in a manufacturing company.
Power Automate or experience with Power Platforms.
Experience with Applications (AX 2012/PTS/PPMS/D365/BI)
