Are you a driven and detail-focused engineer with a passion for advancing next-generation technologies? We are seeking a highly skilled APQP Design Engineer to join our Development Excellence team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you'll help shape the future of our products through robust design and process quality planning, supporting our industry leadership in electrification, autonomy, and automation.

What You'll Be Doing
Lead and execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities across multiple development teams.
Champion core tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, QFD, Control Plans, and more.
Support product architecture development with boundary diagrams and interface analysis.
Translate customer and system requirements into actionable product and process strategies.
Collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to mitigate design and process risks.
Drive quality into every stage of product development-from concept to validation.
What We're Looking For
You're a problem-solver and forward-thinker with a solid foundation in both design engineering and supplier quality development. You're also comfortable leading complex technical projects and communicating effectively with all levels of the organisation.
Must-Have Qualifications
5+ years of design engineering experience
5+ years of supplier quality development engineering
Strong knowledge of APQP core tools and risk mitigation strategies
Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, rail, or process/chemical engineering
Preferred Attributes
Proven ability to master complex engineering and manufacturability concepts
Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills
Skilled in balancing multiple priorities without compromising on quality
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Mechanical aptitude and creative mindset for developing innovative product concepts
