What you will do

  • Provide low voltage electrical design and consultancy services for nationally significant clients, supporting technical leads on complex engineering projects.
  • Work on a diverse range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations.
  • Support the design team lead on projects to strive towards a right-first-time approach, focusing on high-quality outputs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure designs are safe and compliant with CDM regulations.
  • Be accountable for your own project work and report issues proactively to project leads.
  • Contribute in project meetings and reviews with regards to your project responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other design teams and stakeholders across all projects, from understanding scope to lifecycle stages such as clash detection workshops.

What we will look for

  • A track record of performing to a high standard while undertaking low voltage electrical design, preferably within the UK transportation sector.
  • Knowledge and experience of feasibility, design, installation, maintenance, or technical assurance in the UK EV infrastructure sector and/or wider UK transportation sector.
  • Willingness to develop and grow by taking responsibility for technical output, programme and financial performance of work packages.
  • Evidence of being a confident communicator who can convey viewpoints and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Engineering Technician (EngTech) registration with the Engineering Council or pursuing it; active membership with a professional institution.
  • Hold City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certification (C&G 2382).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble Amtech ProDesign and Modecsoft ElectricalOM is beneficial but not essential.
