A respected and well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join their growing Didcot office. This is a leadership-level opportunity to manage and deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions across a diverse range of sectors including residential, commercial, education and public-sector development. Projects include strategic land assessments, major residential and mixed-use developments, urban infrastructure, schools, commercial parks and regeneration sites.

Associate Civil Engineer Job Overview
Take ownership of projects and act as a key point of contact for clients, working on schemes ranging from strategic land and regeneration through to detailed infrastructure delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading design and delivery of drainage (SuDS and adoptable), road infrastructure, utilities, and earthworks
- Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians
- Overseeing design from feasibility through planning, technical approvals and construction
- Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Utilities Assessments and Design Reports
- Managing technical submissions for Section 104, 38 and 278 approvals
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders and local authorities to develop practical, sustainable solutions
- Supporting the growth of the company and contributing to business development, fee proposals, and strategic planning
Associate Civil Engineer Job Requirements
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Chartered or near-chartered with ICE (or equivalent)
- 8+ years' UK consultancy experience delivering infrastructure for development-led projects
- Proficient in Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD
- Strong technical understanding of highway and drainage design, including SuDS
- Confident leading technical work, coordinating teams and representing the business externally
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, programmes and approvals
- Able to guide junior staff and develop a high-performing civil engineering team
