The Position

This opportunity would suit an Associate Structural Engineer who can
lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance
with industry standards, the project, and client requirements. The successful
the candidate will have the chance to work in one of the UK’s leading private
Engineering Consultancies, providing integrated solutions for a range of
public and private clients.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure the
successful delivery of projects within established timelines and
budgets.
Technical lead on structural engineering projects.
Liaise with and lead other members of the design team to achieve a
coordinated design solution that meets the client’s objectives.
Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and
existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
Undertake analysis and design of structures using a range of
software packages, including Tekla Structural Designer and Fastrak
Building Designer.
Ensure that the quality and consistency of technical output (drawings,
reports, etc.) are maintained.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys.
Responsible for providing technical expertise and mentorship to
junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering
Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).
Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and
building types.
Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g.
Eurocodes, British Standards).
Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills
required.
Experience in structural analysis, design, and software is essential.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Full clean driving license
