Location: London

A highly regarded structural engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join its London team. With a strong track record in urban regeneration and complex city-centre developments, the practice is recognised for delivering innovative yet buildable solutions that bring together architectural vision and structural integrity.

The Role

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion. The Associate Structural Engineer will work directly with clients, architects, and contractors, providing both technical leadership and design expertise. The role calls for someone confident in concrete and steel frame design, able to guide junior engineers, and comfortable representing the consultancy externally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading structural design and analysis across a portfolio of projects
• Overseeing calculations, modelling, and coordination with CAD/Revit teams
• Managing client and design team relationships, ensuring delivery to the highest standards
• Supporting the growth and development of more junior engineers
• Contributing to business development and securing new project opportunities

The Candidate

• Chartered, or near-Chartered (IStructE or ICE)
• Strong technical background in concrete and steel frame structures
• Skilled in structural design software and CAD/Revit coordination
• Proven leadership, project management, and client-facing experience
• Collaborative approach, with excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
