OverviewAn established, global technology solutions provider is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Design Engineer to join their EMEA division. This is a great opportunity to work with major enterprise clients across various industries, helping deliver cutting-edge AV solutions that connect people, technology, and experiences.The Design Engineer is a key member of the project team, providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle — from initial concept and strategy through design, construction documentation, installation support, and final handover.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with clients and Project Managers to define budgets, timelines, and manage expectationsConceptualise AV system designs and determine technical requirementsProvide technical input to support architectural planning, installation, and integrationDevelop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentationCreate detailed PDF markups for CAD teams to translate into construction drawingsProduce functional system descriptions, block wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and custom cabling assembliesResearch, identify, and recommend appropriate technology solutionsOversee construction drawing packages and coordinate with architects and other tradesSupport installation phases and prepare as-built drawings for handoverBuild and maintain strong client relationships, aligning solutions with client standards while recommending new technology where appropriateStay up to date with industry trends through training, trade shows, and manufacturer sessionsSkills & Experience3+ years of experience in AV systems designProficient in AutoCAD and MS Office 365AVIXA CTS certification (CTS-D desirable)Certified or trained in at least one DSP platform (e.g., Biamp, QSC, ClearOne)Certified or trained in at least one control system (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX)Solid understanding of project phases: Program, Conceptualisation, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction, CommissioningGood knowledge of construction processes, installation, and architectural drawings/specificationsDetail-oriented, independent, and proactiveExcellent time management and communication skillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesBenefitsPrivate healthcare from day one (with option to add family members)Option to purchase up to 5 additional annual leave days per yearAnnual eye care voucher and flu jabEmployee Assistance ProgrammeBike to Work schemeOffice EV charger points availableOccasional team eventsPension scheme
