Linnk Group is partnering with industry leaders in the renewable energy sector to design and deploy critical green infrastructure across the UK and internationally. We’re seeking PLC & Automation Engineers who are ready to contribute to projects powering the global transition to sustainable energy.

In this role, you’ll work on high-impact projects involving wind, solar, hydrogen, battery storage, and grid-scale systems. You’ll be responsible for developing, integrating, and commissioning control systems that optimize performance, ensure safety, and enable remote operation of next-generation energy platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Program, test, and commission PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
• Integrate SCADA, HMI, and telemetry systems for data acquisition and remote monitoring
• Design and deploy automation systems for renewable energy installations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, SCADA) to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade control systems in field or factory environments
• Contribute to the engineering documentation, safety compliance, and lifecycle support of automation assets

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience with PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of SCADA & HMI systems (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, Aveva, etc.)
• Experience working on renewable energy projects: wind, solar, hydrogen, or battery storage
• Understanding of electrical panels (LV/MV) and field-level instrumentation
• Ability to work independently across full system lifecycle: from design to commissioning
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus

Nice to Have

• Background in utility-scale or grid infrastructure automation
• Experience with remote monitoring, IIoT, or telemetry solutions
• Familiarity with electrical standards and safety certifications (IEC, UL, etc.)
• Willingness to travel for project execution or commissioning support
