Wood is currently recruiting for Automation Engineers (AE) with Yogagawa ProSAFE SLS software experience to support various high-profile projects in the UK. The AE will join our Systems Integration team within our Digital Consulting business.

This role is available on a hybrid basis with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in one of the following hub offices: Aberdeen, Glasgow, or Staines.

Please note applicants must pass the HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role

The Automation Engineer will support the SI team with automation engineering related to Yogagawa ProSAFE SLS software. This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous automation experience in Yogagawa ProSAFE SLS, eager to work on dynamic projects as part of an international team.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in PLC, SCADA, Cyber Security, or Network Design
• Identify automation and control requirements and define solutions
• Implement automation and control solutions
• Support project objectives and apply integration concepts across systems and vendors
• Design and implement automation projects, prepare documentation, and resolve engineering issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering
• Experience with Yogagawa ProSAFE SLS software
• Understanding of system networks, Control Logix, Guard Logix, and hardware support
• Experience in project delivery, automation, and control engineering, and software specification writing
• Experience with multiple system projects, control platforms, addressable F&G systems, and Microsoft SQL
• Knowledge of engineering standards and modern automation tools

Desirable

• Professional Engineer or chartership
• Experience with Rockwell PLC, SCADA, and Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA
