This role requires the ability to work alone and as part of a team, as well as coaching others.What you’ll be doing day to dayDesign and build scalable automation frameworks for lo-code, no-code, RPA and agentic software engineering workflows through reusable components and frameworks to accelerate and standardise practicesOperationalise and provide support for solutions, creating clear documentation for automated processes and workflows that set them up for resilience, error handling and scalabilityAnalyse current business processes to spot automation and evaluate opportunities. Collaborate with business stakeholders to fully understand end-user needs and outcomes that need to be achievedUse data to articulate outcomes using both quantitative and qualitative methodsShare your knowledge through coaching and mentoring colleaguesYou’ll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experienceTechnicalHighly proficient in Python and other scripting languages such as Typescript, including test frameworks, debugging and performance analysisDemonstrable experience of building robust, scalable and supportable solutions using Agentic frameworks such as Langchain, Autogen, CrewAI or CoPilot Studio.Advanced use of MCP, and the role of MCP servers, with particular reference to security and how to mitigate risk.Demonstrable experience of working with structured and unstructured datasets in an Automation environment.Experience of Lo and No Code solutions, with Power Automate a bonusKnowledge of software engineering best practices and development methodologies with a background in infrastructure-as-code beneficialCritical understanding of security principles for automated, and particularly agentic, systemsAnalytical and Problem solvingStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to use data at all stages in the design, build and operationalising of automated systemsAbility to design experiments and interpret results to improve system performance, reduction in errors and/or resilienceSoft SkillsExcellent communication skills for cross-functional collaborationSelf-motivated with ability to work independently on complex challenges and across teams and disciplinesA coaching and mentoring mindset, finding satisfaction in developing othersWhat to expect from our interview processWe’ll run a multi-stage interview process, one stage of which will be an in-person interview at our fabulous Aeroworks office in Manchester city centre.We want to make sure everybody has the opportunity to perform at their best. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work.We also have hybrid working so we all work from home and one day a fortnight from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre.
