Job Title: AWS Platform Engineer
Location: Remote (UK-based), occasional visits to Leeds
Salary: £60,000-75,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Title Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and optimise cloud-native infrastructure in AWS, ensuring best practices align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Automation & CI/CD: Enhance automated deployment pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable application delivery.
Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with ISO27001:2022 and internal governance standards.
Performance Monitoring: Maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system reliability and improve incident response.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to optimise deployments and continuously improve the platform.
Incident Management: Troubleshoot platform issues, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Software Development: Contribute to application enhancements and resolve software-related issues. Write and maintain scalable, high-quality code primarily in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
Job Title Requirements
Must have:
Expertise in containerised applications (Kubernetes, EKS) and serverless architecture in AWS.
Proficient in using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and RDS.
Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM policies, and networking.
Experience with observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Preferred:
Experience mentoring junior team members and promoting DevOps practices.
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (e.g., GCP, Azure).
Knowledge of database performance optimisation.
Knowledge of AWS Cognito
