Cloud Engineer required in Glasgow to join a global organisation and help deliver a fully automated, enterprise scale Azure platform. The Role As Cloud Engineer, you'll play a central role in shaping the organisation's cloud platform for the future. You'll manage, automate, and optimise Azure infrastructure using both IaaS (virtual machines, networking, storage) and PaaS (managed services such as databases, app services, and serverless platforms). Using Infrastructure as Code, you'll ensure the environment is fully automated, scalable, secure, and resilient, supporting the business's ongoing digital transformation and long term growth.

You will ** Take ownership of day to day platform operations, including monitoring, incident management, and ticket resolution, while automating repetitive tasks. ** Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and efficiency across environments. ** Implement automation and orchestration to optimise operations, reduce manual effort, and increase platform reliability. ** Use monitoring and logging tools to proactively detect and resolve issues, enhancing performance, resilience, and security. ** Contribute to complex cloud operations and transformation initiatives that directly impact business performance. ** Mentor colleagues moving from on premise infrastructure, championing cloud first practices and modern ways of working. Who We're Looking For ** 4+ years' hands on experience in Azure environments including both IaaS and PaaS ** Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator ** Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration. ** Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, and DevOps pipelines. ** Comfortable mentoring colleagues and influencing technical practices across teams.
