Backup Engineer

Location: Hybrid/Glasgow (3 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months

Role Overview

We are looking for a Backup Engineer with deep expertise in backup technologies and integration. This role requires a professional who can look under the HOOD of backup tools, integrate third-party backup solutions, and ensure seamless operation across network, storage, and infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and configure third-party backup products into existing environments.

• Provide expert support for NetBackup, ensuring stability and performance.

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize backup processes across networks, storage, and systems.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to improve resilience and reliability of backup services.

• Document backup configurations and integrations for future reference.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience working with NetBackup (essential).

• Strong background in backup integration with third-party tools.

• Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues within backup software.

• Solid understanding of backup across networks, storage, and systems.

• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
