Blockchain Full Stack Engineer (Remote, UK-based)

Contract: 12 months

Location: UK (remote, with some overlap in US hours)

Overview

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Web3 technologies to join a growing blockchain-focused engineering team. This role suits someone who thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments and can work confidently across the full stack – from smart contracts and backend systems to frontend applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts (Solidity / Rust).
• Build responsive frontend apps with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Wagmi, and Viem.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, Rust, or Go.
• Implement and subgraphs / substreams for blockchain data indexing.
• Automate workflows and infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and ship new systems and features.
• Conduct code reviews, write tests, and maintain documentation.
• Stay up to date with emerging Web3 and blockchain technologies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• 2+ years developing Solidity smart contracts.
• Strong proficiency in Rust.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, Next.js, Wagmi, Viem.
• Experience with REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with The Graph (subgraphs, substreams).
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent work ethic.

Bonus Experience

• Chainlink tools (CCIP, VRF, Data Feeds, Automation).
• Knowledge of DeFi protocols or tokenomics.
• Open-source Web3 contributions.
• Background in distributed systems or data streaming.
• Experience with GraphQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
