Technical Project Manager (Building Services)

Location: London (hybrid - between home and site visits)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 based on experience

The role, of a Technical Project Manager is challenging and is for someone who enjoys a project environment (managing deadlines whilst in the detail of delivering and providing excellent customer service). You will be overseeing solar PV, air source heat pump projects and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery projects. You will be responsible for designing domestic heating and ventilation systems. Familiarity with the construction industry, quality standards and services design is important. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.


Typical work will include:

  • Advising homeowners and leading design work with specialist renewable technologies.
  • Attending site to take measurements and work out solutions to present to the homeowner.
  • Leading and managing multiple technical projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Putting together pricing during a site assessment visit.
  • Coordinating with installation teams and engineers to ensure work is managed effectively.
  • Ordering materials from suppliers and managing invoicing with the homeowner.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client focused - ensuring they are happy throughout the process and dealing with any issues / questions promptly in a constructive manner.


You must be able to

  • Read and interpret schematics to guide installation processes accurately.
  • Work independently staying productive and reliable.

Requirements

You must have

  • relevant experience, for example electrical, heating, ventilation, mechanical services design
  • experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment or relevant technical experience within the construction industry building services sector.
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and managing emails, calendars and keeping track of tasks effectively.
  • an interest in renewable and low carbon technologies helping people to reduce energy consumption and ensuring these system perform well as installed.

You'll also have

  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work under pressure.


Great to haves:

  • A valid driver’s licence
  • An ability to use sketchup to do 3D design and fluency reading drawings.
