thefutureworks have an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Engineer at Coventry University
The Role
As the Building Services Engineer, you will oversee and supervise the mechanical services team and contractors, ensuring that statutory, planned, and reactive maintenance is delivered to both the main and remote campuses in line with agreed SLAs. Your responsibilities will include setting up and renewing contractor provisions, managing the team's workload using the Planon CAFM system (training provided), and ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
You will also be responsible for meeting and greeting contractors, explaining issues to facilitate effective repair solutions, ensuring value for money, and managing health and safety requirements. This role is hands-on, requiring you to actively support and mentor mechanical technicians and apprentices, lead responses to emergency mechanical issues, and audit contractors' work
Our Successful Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer with a mechanical bias ready to step into a managerial role. You should have a background in managing and maintaining mechanical installations.
