A well-established engineering team in Cambridge is looking for an experienced software engineer to work on complex, mission-critical telecoms products. With over 30 years of innovation in the telecommunications industry, this Cambridge-based company offers the chance to work on real-time embedded systems used across global communications networks. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days onsite in Cambridge, with flexibility built in. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and debug embedded software for telecoms applications in a Linux environment Write high-performance applications using modern C++ (11/14/17) Build and customise embedded Linux distributions using the Yocto build system Work with RTOS for real-time functionality Interface with hardware using protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.

Key Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in embedded Linux development Strong knowledge of C++ (11/14/17) in real-time systems Hands-on experience with Yocto Project Background in RTOS-based embedded software development Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART) Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative R&D team
