Job Title: Charge Design Engineer Client: BAE Systems Location: Glascoed, Pontypool, South Wales Working Arrangements: 3 days a week onsite Contract: 6-12 Months (37 hours per week) Hourly Rate: £30 Umbrella (INSIDE IR35) TBC
Role Overview:
Join our propelling charge development team as a Charge Design Engineer. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and evaluating propelling charges for new munitions products and maintaining legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and evaluate propelling charges. Plan, conduct, and manage trials, ensuring safe and accurate execution. Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to meet project timelines. Contribute to quality, risk management, and lifecycle processes. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Essential Requirements: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. 3+ years in the Chemical Engineering industry. Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment. Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office). Excellent written and verbal communication.
