Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced XHEV Charging Features / PED Engineer to join our hybrid/electric vehicle team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, validating, and integrating charging features and power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and supporting vehicle-level testing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and validate charging features for hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Work on Power Electronics Design (PED) and related components.
  • Perform functional testing of charging systems and on-board chargers (AC/DC).
  • Support vehicle-level integration and testing activities.
  • Use MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and analysis of charging and PED systems.
  • Utilize CAN/CANoe/CANalyzer for diagnostics and system validation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards and other automotive regulations.
  • Document and present test results to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–9 years of experience in automotive electrification, XHEV, or EV systems.
  • Strong knowledge of charging systems (AC/DC, CCS, CHAdeMO) and EVSE.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Electronics / PED.
  • Experience in battery management systems (BMS).
  • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, CAN/CANoe/CANalyzer, and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
  • Experience in vehicle integration and testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to thermal management for chargers/power electronics.
  • Experience in EV software/hardware interface validation.
  • Previous work in hybrid/electric vehicle programs.
