This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects across a broad range of clients, including Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning, existing Nuclear Generation, and Nuclear Fusion. About Your Team
The focus of our Nuclear & Power business is our people. We build and develop long-term relationships with clients in the sector, holding numerous long-term framework contracts to deliver their projects.
You’ll be part of a diverse Electrical, Control & Instrumentation team, comprising members from over 10 different countries with varied educational backgrounds. You will have access to the industry’s leading players and the opportunity to engage in both technical and non-technical areas.

What You’ll Be Doing
About
In C&I, we work across the Project Life Cycle, from concept to decommissioning, including activities such as:
- Tendering (bids/proposals and securing projects)
- Concept Design (identifying requirements, exploring options, estimating costs and schedules)
- Detailed Design (development, review, safety assessments, substantiation)
- Supply (procurement, manufacturing, testing, inspection)
- Installation and commissioning of plant and equipment
- Decommissioning (dismantling with radiation safety measures)
You may have been involved in one or more of these activities or wish to explore new areas. You may work individually or as part of a team, always supported by AtkinsRéalis. You will take responsibility for your work’s delivery and collaborate with clients and stakeholders both remotely and onsite. We promote a collaborative environment, with a minimum of half your working week spent in the office or on-site.
What Can You Bring?
Alongside excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you should have:
- Relevant qualifications in electronic, control, or safety-critical systems engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in fundamental engineering as a C&I Engineer, demonstrating good judgment
- Ability to produce and review high-standard technical reports and drawings
- Efficient time management skills
