ResponsibilitiesCompleting the structural design of new build nuclear structures, including for accidental situations such as seismic and blast.Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to support contractor activities on HPC site.Perform analysis of structures within commercial FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).Provide a technical link with reinforcement detailers, also checking detailing models and drawings.Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. QualificationsBachelor's or master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.Working towards or recently Chartered with the ICE, IStructE, or with equivalent experience.Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standard, and ETC-C the applicable code for HPC/SZC).Proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a multicultural team.Agile and self-motivated, with a focus on improving personal and team performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges.Experience working on major infrastructure projects and can demonstrate ability to deliver high quality work packages to schedule.You enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn and willing to take responsibility whilst also wanting to support others within our team.Experience working in a highly regulated industry based in the UK, e.g. nuclear.
