Cloud Engineer – Leeds / Hybrid (2 days a week in Leeds) - Upto £50K

This is a hands-on role focused on designing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud infrastructure while ensuring operational excellence. What you’ll do: Build, deploy, and maintain Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and reliability. Manage Cloudflare or equivalent platforms, including WAF, CDN, DDoS protection, DNS, Zero Trust, and Anycast networks. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring workflows. Support BAU operations, incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives. What you need: Hands-on experience with Cloudflare or similar edge networking platforms. Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS services and Terraform. Experience in hybrid/multi-cloud environments and AWS services. Solid networking understanding: VPNs, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing. Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and observability tools. Strong communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills. SC-level UK Government clearance (or ability to obtain). Desirable: Cloud and DevOps certifications (Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Terraform).
