Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology company for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join their team in a hybrid working capacity (3 days in office). This is an exciting opportunity to work on secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions across the business.

About the Role:

As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and high availability. You’ll also help optimise cloud performance, automate processes, and strengthen security across the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure (AWS, S3, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, etc.)
  • Administer Kubernetes/GKE clusters and containerised applications
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and reporting to maintain 100% uptime
  • Troubleshoot cloud and software issues across hybrid environments
  • Ensure security compliance and address vulnerabilities
  • Maintain technical documentation for consistency and knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong AWS knowledge (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Route53, CloudFront)
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Cloud networking & security knowledge
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting experience

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and cloud security best practices
