Net Talent is delighted to partner with a leading FMCG business based in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, in their quest to find a talented permanent Azure Engineer. This progressive organisation values innovation and is committed to enhancing its IT capabilities, demonstrated as they migrate their server estate to Azure.

With the option for hybrid working (2 days of your choosing from home), you will have the flexibility to contribute to a collaborative team environment while managing cloud infrastructure projects that drive business growth.

Offering a competitive salary of up to £65k, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact.

The business is migrating their estate into the cloud (Azure) in the coming months so there is a need for strong skills across Azure with experience of at least one migration from on-prem to the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Optimise and support cloud services, particularly in Azure and some current VMware environments.
  • Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps and TerraForm.
  • Scripting and Automation skills with the likes of PowerShell or Python.
  • Utilising collaboration tools such as Azure Repos or GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Ensure server infrastructure is reliable and performant.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration and procedures.
  • Contribute to project management and assist with deployment of new technologies.

Successful Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, particularly with Azure and VMware technologies.
  • Skilled in Azure DevOps, TerraForm and associated tooling.
  • Strong knowledge in server management and virtualisation.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
