This role offers the opportunity to work on an innovative cloud product launching in a new area for cloud services.What the role is aboutPrimary focus is deploying, maintaining and supporting state-of-the-art cloud deployed solutions for digital evidence management for Public Safety (Primary Law Enforcement) customers worldwide. Assist product teams to introduce new products/versions, champion supportability and preventative action for customers. Training in Azure will be provided; prior Azure experience is not required. Eligibility to obtain SC clearance is required, with residency in the UK for 5 years. This role is office-based 5 days a week in Southampton; commuting distance is needed and a secure room will be used for day-to-day activities.How you will make an impactProvide 2nd/3rd line engineering support to the productProvisioning, deploying, patching and upgrading enterprise software hosted on Azure; collaborate with development to ensure successful deploymentDefine and implement regular maintenance and health monitoring proceduresCollaborate with staff across the business; manage relationships with end users, partners and service providersDeploy and provision systems to enable replication of customer issues for diagnosis and repair without impacting data or operationsParticipate in a 24/7 out-of-hours call-out rotaEngineering support for UK and non-UK customersWhat you will needRapid learner, self-motivated, good communicator and problem solver; high-quality workRelevant technical customer support experience preferred, especially in a Public Safety environmentExperience in an application, software or product support role is desirableEligibility to obtain SC clearance; UK residence for 5 yearsEssential SkillsWorking knowledge of Windows server and client technology, preferably with web applications and servicesExperience with web applications and configuration managementStrong written and verbal English; excellent communication and listening skillsAbility to identify and validate assumptions, ask effective questions, and solve problemsMethodical troubleshooting, technical skill and attention to detail; reproduce issues in a local environmentMulti-tasking and time management; stay focused under pressureAccurate record-keeping; able to work independently and as part of a teamNice to haveKnowledge of Azure Portal and familiarity with Azure servicesExperience with scriptingExperience with basic SQL querying or Power BIKnowledge of Elastic Search and KibanaExperience configuring application monitoring and dashboardsExperience working in an ITIL environmentAbout NiCENiCE is an equal opportunity employer.
