ROLE: Commercial Gas Engineer (Permanent) LOCATION: M25 coverage

THE COMPANY: This role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, repairs, and occasional installations of commercial gas systems across a diverse client base including government buildings, hotels, schools, courts, and office facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction, while managing a range of commercial gas appliances. While the role primarily covers London and the South, national coverage may be required for sickness or holiday cover. This is a mobile role with a current on-call rota of 1 in 9 (national).

Minimum 5 years of experience working with commercial gas systems. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; BMS/controls knowledge is advantageous. Valid full UK driving licence. Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations. Professional communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organised and able to manage workload across multiple sites. DUTIES INCLUDE: Conduct planned PPM, servicing, and repairs on commercial gas appliances in accordance with current regulations (SFG20). Perform fault-finding and diagnostics across a variety of commercial gas systems. Undertake occasional installation work, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Provide first-response support during working hours and on-call periods for emergency repairs. Maintain detailed service records and ensure documentation is compliant and audit-ready. Follow strict health and safety procedures, including appropriate use of PPE. Work collaboratively with the wider team and escalate complex issues where necessary. Advise clients on best practices for appliance use and safety.
