We are seeking a skilled and proactive Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Commercial Customer Service team. This field-based role covers Yorkshire, Lancashire, Manchester, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire and focuses on the installation, service, and maintenance of temporary hire boilers and equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

You'll ensure safe operations, respond to emergencies, and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction while adhering to industry standards. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you'll work remotely with the flexibility to manage your own schedule.

  • Install and commission temporary heating systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Service heating and cooling systems pre-delivery to guarantee optimal performance and safety; diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with clients to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, safety inspections, and customer interactions; prepare reports as needed.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Keep tools and equipment in proper working order, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, technologies, and best practices in gas systems and appliances.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and cost-effectively to optimise value for customers and the company.
  • Perform all work professionally and ethically to build trust and uphold the company's reputation.

Essential Requirements

  • COCN1 qualification.
  • CIGA1 qualification.
  • CDGA1 qualification.
  • ICPN1 qualification.
  • TPCP1/1A qualification.
  • ICAE1 qualification.
  • Gas Safe Registered.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for field-based travel).
  • Strong communication skills and professional representation of the company.
  • Commitment to health and safety, with up-to-date knowledge of regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, well-organized, and focused on delivering results.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer focus.

Desirable Skills

  • 18th Edition electrical qualification.
  • Oftec Qualifications.
  • F-Gas Qualifications.
  • Chiller experience.
