With an ambitious £2.3 billion capital investment in AMP8, we are revolutionising infrastructure, sustainability, and digital transformation to protect the environment and support growing communities.We're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join the @one Alliance-a collaborative partnership between Anglian Water and seven other industry-leading organisations. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of clean water and water recycling projects, helping ensure assets are tested, optimised, and ready for operation before handover.This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to the delivery of vital infrastructure, while being part of a values-driven, supportive engineering environment.What you will be doing as our new Commissioning Engineer:Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you'll play a key role in commissioning activities across a broad range of projects. With a focus on safety, quality, and performance, you'll help ensure that new assets function as intended and deliver long-term value for our customers and the environment.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the planning and execution of commissioning activities on siteCollaborating with design, delivery, and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomesAssisting in site inspections, testing, and performance verification of new assetsProducing and maintaining commissioning documentation, including method statements and risk assessmentsHelping to resolve technical issues and optimise performanceParticipating in site acceptance testing and early engagement with equipment suppliersFeeding into continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned processesA little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours:You're a hands-on engineer with a collaborative mindset and a passion for technical delivery. You're comfortable working in dynamic site environments and are eager to learn from experienced colleagues while contributing your own expertise.To be successful in this role, you'll need:A HNC (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process EngineeringSome relevant experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within the water or utilities sector)A good understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systemsStrong communication and teamwork skillsA full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sitesA proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn and adaptAt @one Alliance, you'll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that is shaping the future of the UK's water infrastructure.
