Commissioning Engineer - Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance)
Location: Peterborough/Hybrid
@one Alliance a ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and seven industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. Together, we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
With AMP8 ahead, we’re gearing up for our biggest challenge yet—delivering an ambitious programme of projects that will shape the future of water infrastructure.
To join us on our question for engineering excellence we’re looking for a driven and experienced Commissioning Engineer.
What you'll be doing
• Write up or actively involve in drafting a Commissioning Plan for each capital project. Review and update the plan as necessary to reflect changes during implementation of the project.
• Seek Operations approval to the commissioning plan including specific hand-over testing requirements.
• Ensure the Commissioning Plan is consistent with the Alliance SPEP and/or Special Projects scope of works; it sets out scheme deliverables in a clear way and identifies how hand- over testing will be carried out.
• Manage / supervise implementation of the commissioning plan in accordance with H&S procedures, CDM procedures and all relevant AWS operational procedures including POSWSH, POSWASTE, HACCP and POSTEL.
• Close liaison with M&E and process engineers during initial design stage to ensure scheme deliverables can be achieved by the proposed solution
• Close liaison with Operations to maintain feed-back to designers on operability and maintainability
Who we're looking for
Degree or appropriate higher technical qualification plus proven ability.
Extensive site experience preferably in water / wastewater commissioning.
Knowledge of water and wastewater operations.
Extensive experience in preferably mechanical and/or electrical engineering disciplines.
Detailed technical knowledge.
Proven ability to liase with Contractors on site.
