JOB – Commissioning Engineer

LOCATION – Remote (UK-wide travel)

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £45,000 to £65,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a leading manufacturer of industrial and automation equipment supplied into a range of sectors. They are looking to take on a Commissioning Engineer to support the installation and commissioning of their systems across client sites throughout the UK. This role will be remote-based with regular UK travel required.

The Commissioning Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Proven experience in installing, commissioning and testing machinery or systems
• Experience in sectors such as automation, manufacturing, energy, or industrial equipment
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
• Good communication skills for dealing with customers and site teams

The Commissioning Engineer role will involve:

• Supporting on-site installation and full commissioning of machinery and systems
• Travelling to customer sites across the UK
• Liaising with project managers, design, and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Providing technical support, training and documentation for clients
• Carrying out system checks, tests, and resolving any issues identified during start-up
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with safety and quality standards
