JOB – Commissioning Engineer
LOCATION – Remote (UK-wide travel)
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £45,000 to £65,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a leading manufacturer of industrial and automation equipment supplied into a range of sectors. They are looking to take on a Commissioning Engineer to support the installation and commissioning of their systems across client sites throughout the UK. This role will be remote-based with regular UK travel required.
The Commissioning Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Proven experience in installing, commissioning and testing machinery or systems
- Experience in sectors such as automation, manufacturing, energy, or industrial equipment
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
- Good communication skills for dealing with customers and site teams
The Commissioning Engineer role will involve:
- Supporting on-site installation and full commissioning of machinery and systems
- Travelling to customer sites across the UK
- Liaising with project managers, design, and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Providing technical support, training and documentation for clients
- Carrying out system checks, tests, and resolving any issues identified during start-up
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with safety and quality standards
