What you will be doing

  • Hands-on testing and commissioning of LV switchgear, cabling and electrical systems—ensuring everything runs safely and up to 1000V.
  • Read technical drawings and configure protection devices to support seamless system integration.
  • Issue safety documents (training available), write clear progress reports, and troubleshoot on-site.
  • Ensure installations meet project specifications and safety standards; complete inspection plans and provide training for new equipment.
  • Collaborate with other trades to keep commissioning collaborative and efficient.
  • Follow thorough FAT and SAT processes to deliver quality assurance at each stage.

What you’ll bring

  • Solid E&I commissioning experience
  • Background in Power, Energy and Gas Transmission
  • Hands-on with LV switchgear and MCCs
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Engineering apprenticeship or technical training
  • HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Qualified in Inspection & Testing (2391-52)
  • Up to date with 18th Edition (2382-22)
  • Holds CSCS/ECS card
  • LV authorised and experienced
  • CompEx EX01-EX04 (desirable)
  • SMSTS and First Aid (desirable)
