The company is seeking an experienced technical specialist to join as a Consulting Engineer for HVDC control & protection platforms.The successful candidate will serve as a recognized technical authority in HVDC control & protection platform solutions, contributing to the development of the R&D roadmap, managing competencies, and supporting projects with specialized technical support.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical advisor to senior leadership levelsContribute to and drive internal and external standardizationStay abreast of state-of-the-art technology developments in HVDC control & protection platform technologiesGather external information to determine future market needsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a strategic HVDC control & protection platform technology roadmapSuggest areas for technological advancementEvaluate and champion innovative ideasContribute to Intellectual Property managementOversee R&D programs and chair technology and product development gate reviewsCollaborate and promote technology synergies across GE Vernova businessesQualifications/RequirementsMaster's degree or equivalent experience in the development, manufacturing, and maintenance of high-availability, real-time control systemsKnowledge and experience in high power electronics, optical communication, large and small scale networking systems, and moreUnderstanding of regulatory frameworks, grid codes, and standards applicable to HVDC control & protection platformsFamiliarity with patent evaluation, application, and managementDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationConsidered an industry expert and thought leader in the HVDC control & protection platform engineering discipline #J-18808-Ljbffr
