We're looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a fast-growing SME to support an ongoing project. Day rate: £525 per day Outside IR35 Location: Farnborough (3 to 4 days per week on-site) Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC; DV clearance will be required You will be working within a cross-functional team to support and enhance a secure cloud platform, focusing on automating operational processes, managing virtualised infrastructure, and ensuring system observability. Essential Skills & Experience Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation or Proxmox . Familiar with orchestration tools like Aria Automation Suite or Rundeck . Strong system administration background across both Windows and Linux environments. Proficient in one or more programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go, or Java ). Skilled in PowerShell, Bash, and SQL scripting. Hands-on with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, Salt . Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab .
