As the largest global specialist in electrical load testing and power conversion equipment, they operate across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with a cutting-edge manufacturing facility based in Burton-on-Trent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills to contribute to two major projects focused on product innovation and process improvement.

You'll be responsible for designing and modelling mechanical components from scratch, converting legacy 2D drawings into 3D models, and collaborating with electrical and software engineers to deliver high-quality, manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

Create detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, and subassemblies using SolidWorks Convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into 3D CAD models to improve manufacturing workflows Apply Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/DFMA) principles Produce full engineering drawing packs with updates and improvements Support new product development and optimise existing designs for performance and efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanica...
