Location: Remote role with travel across the UK & Northern Ireland

We are recruiting for a new client who are growing rapidly with two highly experienced and well-networked Directors leading the company. Our client specialise in bespoke control panels for customers across a variety of sectors, particularly focusing using upon conveyors.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a PLC Controls Engineer to join a forward-thinking company with great ambition and you can play a key role in their journey. You'll be instrumental in programming, commissioning, and delivering automation systems to a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and develop PLC software (Siemens TIA Portal desirable)
• SCADA and HMI experience needed
• Troubleshoot, test and commission PLC systems both off-site and on-site
• Support the configuration and commissioning of automation/control devices
• Modify existing programs per client or site specifications
• Participate in the on-site commissioning of electrical and electronic systems

What We’re Looking For

• It is a remote role with travel required to clients so you need to be responsible, trustworthy and able to work under little supervision and be able to meet deadlines
• Strong experience in PLC programming and experience on working on conveyors
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in the logistics, packaging and airport industries would be an advantage, but not essential
• Familiarity with electrical control panels and process automation
• Experience with automation & process control equipment
• The selected candidate must live within a commutable distance to the West Midlands
• Laptop & mobile phone will be provided
