Control Systems Engineer - Submarines
Full Time / Hybrid (3 Days in Office)
Location: Derby, UK
As a Control Systems Engineer, you'll lead from architectural concept to physical design, supporting development, testing, and verification with safety as a priority. You will contribute to policies and procedures throughout the engineering lifecycle to ensure consistency and appropriateness of activities.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement control system solutions meeting high-level requirements and standards.
- Develop solutions in a cross-disciplinary environment for new and experimental facilities.
- Write complex software modules and transform obsolete systems into modern solutions.
- Design hardware solutions from concept documents for new and existing installations.
- Identify and rectify issues during testing and support commissioning.
- Prepare technical reports and support supply chain assessments.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience in industrial sector roles, especially manufacturing or nuclear sectors.
- Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, particularly Rockwell/Allen Bradley.
- Experience with control system hardware design, I/O interfaces, and software tools like AutoCAD Electrical or E-Plan.
- Knowledge of IEC standards such as Machinery Directive, BS7671, IEC 61131, IEC 61508/61511.
- Proactive, self-starting, and able to collaborate across disciplines.
- Degree or professional accreditation in Controls, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields.
- Membership in a professional engineering institution preferred.
