Job Title: Control Systems EngineerLocation: Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.Salary: Up to £51,900 (dependent on skills and experience)Responsibilities:Develop IPMS Functional Specifications and liaise with the sub system owners to ensure the functional specifications workSupport stakeholder engagement with internal and external customersReview supplier documentation on behalf of IPMS team to develop the functional specificationsSupport configuration management of Platform Management SystemDevelop River Class Destroyer Controls & Instrumentation solutionSupport Sub System Leads and support delivery of all aspects of engineering deliverablesCreate & Maintain allocated IPMS Documentation as required by the projectIdentify, manage and mitigate product safety issues across the product/service areaRequirements:Experience in an Engineering Functional Design disciplineExperience of working on large, multi-layered projects in a multi-disciplinary, matrix management environmentKnowledge of the engineering life cycle especially with regard to the achievement of project phase milestonesWorking knowledge of BAE Systems LCM processes & toolsExperience of working on Defence projectsSupervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experienceEngineers should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects and specific professional qualifications.We offer a competitive pension scheme, employee share plans, and extensive flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits.About the Team:The Integrated Platform Management Team develops the control system for ship service interaction.Why BAE Systems?This is a place where you’ll be able to make a real difference.
