Creating EC&I drawings (e.g., Block Cable Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams), technical specifications, and basis of design documents. Producing and checking various documents like risk registers, testing strategies, method statements, and technical files for new equipment. Participating in HAZOPs, design reviews, and contributing to safety case development. Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and project requirements, including safety and functional safety aspects. Checking the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet the required standards. Supporting the commissioning process, potentially including site visits and overnight stays. Identifying and resolving technical issues, often requiring a proactive and practical approach. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
