As an experienced Quality Engineer, you will be required to lead all quality related process & design in support of customer and production requirements. Proven experience managing quality projects and applying structured problem-solving techniques in an automotive product development environment in BIW , Closures and Perceived quality Significant experience in an automotive engineering environment, particularly in BIW development. A strong grasp and experience in Gap and Flush measurement and management of the Fit and Finish. Concern resolution Support APQP Quality requirements Support internal training in Quality related aspects Lead investigations using 8D methodology Generate and distribute associated Quality Reports to key stake holders Drive quality improvements within system Your responsibilities: Own commodity quality plan to quality, cost and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) and/or iCreate. Own and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables. Closure of 8D report to required timings Ensure process adherence at all times Ensure quality data and reports are completed to the required timings Ensure associates are aware of the required Quality Standards Ensure associates are adequately trained to perform their duties Ensure all appropriate JLR standards are met through-out design maturation. Provide input into new feature development. Ensure all program design solutions meet:
Crafted Quality and World Class Product Audit (WCPA) requirements.
Keep all project/programme documentation up to date including:
Meeting minutes. Foundation and Programme Design analysis documents. Quality history and bill of design. Regulatory requirements & company standards.
Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

Avoid repetition) Proven experience managing quality projects and applying structured problem-solving techniques Proven Experience in doors PQ, Fit and Finish (Gap & Flush) related issue resolution Goof knowledge of Power door systems Hands-on experience on using the visualisation tools for perceived quality Core Tools (APQP : PPAP: FMEA :Control Plan) In depth knowledge and experience in using 8D methodology Experience with project management / agile methodologies Previous experience of leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a project team environment. A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes. Able to use structured problem-solving tools and techniques to resolve technical and quality issues. Experience of component verification methods, through component, system, and vehicle level test methods Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Good communication and collaboration skills Demonstrable experience managing and influencing key stakeholders Desirable
skills/knowledge/experience:
(As applicable) Bachelor's degree in mechanical or automotive engineering Working knowledge of JIRA, Self-motivating and ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong communication skills and influence stake holders Supporting the Lead Engineers Supporting manufacturing / launch issues Understanding and previous experience in Agile working mindsets focused within a Scrum methodology.
