Crane EngineerSalary: £37,500 – £47,500Location: North East EnglandAre you an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking skilled Crane Technicians to join our client's expanding team in the North East. This role involves carrying out inspections, repairs, maintenance, and modernisation of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.About the Role:Perform service, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipmentWork with electrical and/or mechanical components in various customer locationsTravel within the local area and across the UK as requiredEssential Requirements:Background in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineeringCurrent UK driving licenceAbility to work safely at heights with a positive attitude towards health and safetyWillingness to work overtime and weekends when requiredPhysically fit and able to work at heightsDesirable Skills & Experience:Knowledge of overhead crane and hoist maintenance and inspectionsElectrical experience with 3-phase 415VAC motors, contactor control circuits, and frequency speed/inverter controlsMechanical experience with drive couplings, brakes, and reduction gearboxesStrong fault-finding and diagnostic abilitiesExperience with industrial radio control systemsFamiliarity with vacuum lifting equipment, manipulators, electro magnets, or other material handling equipmentC1 driving licence beneficialWhat We Offer:Company van, Mobile phone, Fuel card and expenses scheme (Personal use of company vehicle and reasonable personal use of company phone permitted)Specialist tools providedOngoing skills development and certified training (UK and European training opportunities)Regular premium rate overtime available (including home-to-home travel pay)Bonus payments for specialist sites and demanding environmentsEmergency call-out rota with standby bonus and double time for call-outsCompany pension scheme with contributions28 days paid annual leave (increasing with service length)This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a growing and well-established team.
